  • 1.  Symantec Antivirus for Linux Commands?

    Posted May 29, 2013 10:49 PM

    Hey Guys,

I was now able to install the SAV on our Redhat sample, now as I browse through the manual it seems like it didnt show how I  can use the commands.

Ex.  sav manualscan --scan  <folder path>.

when I try this it says:

sav: command not found, how is this?

I tried to go to the directory folder of the SAV and try the  command and still didint work,

BTW I'm using the ROOT account. What is it that I'm missing this time?

    Thanks,

See if this article by Mick2009 helps. It focuses on command line syntax:

To initiate a manual scan of the home directory from /opt/Symantec/symantec_antivirus, here's the correct command line:
    sudo ./sav manualscan -s /home
