symantec backup exec 11d

Hi,
We are running symantec backupexec 11d on a windows 2003 server. I am trying to install remote agent to 2 windows 2008 64bit computers on my network. The install fails with error : installation failed with error 1603.
Any help would be appreciated?

11D does not support Windows 2008

which version should I upgrade to?
either 2010 R3 or 2012 (make sure you do some research in the differences as some customers do not like 2012)

I will sugest to go with backupexec 2010 R3......it is easy to manage as compair to 2012.

can I go straight to 2010 R3 from 11d?
11d can be directly upgraded to BE 2010 R3, no hassles. Just grab manual copies of the Data/Catalogs folders and after upgrading, run LiveUpdate to install SP2 and any subsequent updates. Once done, push-install these updates to any remote servers you might have!
