Make sure you have patched Backup exec with all the latest updates.

Also exclude BE services from the AV scan.

Make sure your Windows Updates are set to "Check for Updates but let me choose whether to download and install them"

For some reason that kept stopping my services, i'm still not sure why but as soon as I changed it from "automatically install updates" it stopped doing it and it happened a lot :-(

Hope this helps

Thanks

James

Found out that the LiveUpdate is the cause of the problem. It was not updating the hotfixes properly and causes the services to stop whilst updating.

Reinstall the LiveUpdate, install the hotfixes, restarted the server and it works peacefully till today.
