Symantec backup managment process.exe hogging to much memmory

This issue has been solved. See solution.

hello,

MY backup exec server has 8 GB of RAM.

When check the performance it shows backup managment process.exe using 7.5 GB of memmory.

why is it so??.any bug.

Hi,

2 things:

1. Make sure that no AV installed on the server is actively scanning the BE services, and if so, put in exclusions for them.

2. Make sure that BE 2012 has SP1a and any additional patches installed.
