Created: 30 Dec 2012 | 5 comments
HI All,
Greetings of the day!!!
Is there any default Symantec Bench mark on Number of Viruses on Customer basics?
WE are utilizing SEP 12.1 RU1 MP 1 on a Software development Company having 5000 clients across Globe and the no of clients are expected to grow by 5000 by another one month and as of now we found Symantec action taken ~1 Billion incidents.
If yes please Share.
Thanks and Regards
Ajin

HI pete,
Thanks for your response.
Hi Ajin,
Are you looking for benchmarks of how SEP's protection measues up against other vendors? Here is a report you may be interested in:

There are many other companies/magazines/etc which also carry out their own ratings. Just as an example:

A search of the internet should return lots of informative reading. Please do update the thread if this is what you are looking for or if there is something additional needed. &: )

Hi Mick,
Thanks for your suggestions and Case studies links,
We found Symantec action taken ~1 Billion incidents in our environment during last 90 days, from ~5000 clients. Based on this scenario can we define our environment’s Threat Level?
Best Regards
Ajin
Hi Ajin,
What sort of incidents arae occuring? Are these threats detected? If, which ones? And are the events threats being successfully blocked, or are different actions reported?
The SEPM has the ability to create excellent reports, like the Comprehenesive Risk Report. I recommend takiing a look at that and seeing what is going on in the environment.
Hope this helps!
Mick
With thanks and best regards,
