    Hi Guys,

Can you all please send me some solution regarding my query. I also attached a a image you can also see the problem what i am facing actually its not a problem the point is raising to my audit team so its a priority issue for me.Their Audit department has raised an objection regarding sender’s local IP address in the message header.
Is there any way to suppress the local IP so the local IP does not appear in the header?

I need a immediate solution and KB as well.

    Thanks in advance

    CHEERS!!!!

That looks like something that would be added by the mail server. The Brightmail would not know what the client's IP address is since we get handed the message by the mail server.

but our brightmail gateway server gives an option to masquerad the email server ip so in this way there should be an option to masquerad the senders ip as well.

Agree, the x-originating-ip header is added by the 1st hop MTA KHI100HUBCAS01.

I don't see this header on any of my SBG flows, or on mail submitted to exchange over SMTP.

SBG has a feature to remove the RECEVIED headers, but that doesn't fix your problem

This is an entry that Exchange's Outlook Web Access adds in.

You can use a content filtering rule to check if that header is in the message, but we have no action that allows you to remove a header.

You should look in your Exchange System Manager options to see if you can tell OWA not to add that.

You might not want to remove the X-header.  Your auditors should talk to your forensics team. The header may be there for their benefit. It might be good to know where a user is when submitting e-mail via OWA.

Enable the following setting in the advanced outbound SMTP settings: -

    Strip pre-existing RECEIVED headers

If you do not want the header to be created even when SBG accepts the mail (recieved header for outbound) you can disable Insert RECEIVED header

    Configuring SMTP advanced settings

    To configure SMTP advanced settings
1 In the Control Center, click Administration > Hosts > Configuration.
2 Click the underlined name of the host you want to configure.
    3 Click the SMTP tab.
4 Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Advanced Settings.
5 Make the desired configurations changes.
    6 Click Continue.
7 On the Host Configuration page, click Save.
