This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi.
I am trying to set up brightmail gateway for the first time.
Installation seems to have completed without any issues. It has been installed on a virtual server.
I have set two separate ip adresses for the two nic's.
Also enabled http.
But I am unable to access it from another computer in the same subnet.
I installed both the management and software.
Any idea what I need to do to be able to access the management ?

Hi, to access you shoud use

Hi,

to access you shoud use https://<hostname> where hostname can also be the IP address. Make sure you're using one of the supported browsers. This is IE 6.x, 7.x or Firefox 2.x, 3.x.  You may encounter problems with IE 8
You need to accept (and / or add an exception for the self-signed certificate).
Also have a look at the "getting started guide" for more information about setting up SBG.

Regards,

Federico

Hi.

Problem in outbound mails

Hello,

Our senario is as follows;

Our MX record IP (Public IP) is assigned in Cisco ASA 5510 firewall and inbound traffic to this IP forwarded to a local IP which is the NIC 0 of BrightMail Gateway.

After scanning the mails forwarded to Exchange Server (Local IP)

Above is working fine but out going mails are not working;

In Exchange server mails are forward back to BMG (to above local IP - NIC 0) for outbound. From here I don't know how to configure smart host.

Could you please explain me how to configure for the BMG in our environment

Thanks
