Symantec CE V10.1 - Tamper Protection.
Problem/Question:
Is there no way to make exception in Tamper Protection with V10.1? I see that V11 has this function but I am unable to locate a similiar feature with 10. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Brandon

Checking the manual. It only has the option to be enabled and to block processes and send alert messages.

Temper Protection (definition)
"Tamper Protection provides real-time protection for Symantec applications. It
prevents Symantec processes and internal objects from being attacked or affected
by non-Symantec processes such as worms, Trojan horses, viruses, and security
risks."

We are having this issue as
We are having this issue as well.
Since updating our Altiris Inventory Solution to the latest version, Tamper protection is blocking our Inventory tasks from running and prompting all the clients with the Alert message on a daily basis. (AexExchpls.exe)
We are on SAV 10.1.5.
Symantec have suggested migrating to SAV ver 10.2 which apparently accomodates for this.
Problem is this is a major impact and not just a matter of upgrading the AV.
has anyone had this issue using Altiris as well? If so what was your work around to allow Invnentory to run?
@yabru: maybe you should
@yabru: maybe you should listen to Symantec on this one.
This link shows the changes made to the antivirus:

And you could add the file/folder to the exceptions.
