    Hi All,

    Even though SEP is the leading product of Symantec and people know symantec from Antivirus.Symantec CEO says antivirus is dead. What is your thoughts on this.

    Hi Samir,

    You're about six months late to this discussion.  &: )  The point that Brian Dye (former Senior Vice President of Information Security) was making is that "antivirus ALONE is not enough to defend against today's threats." He's 100% correct, there.  Here's a good thread on the topic:

    And here's a video which demonstrates that other components of SEP's suite detect and remediate threats that AV alone cannot.

    The new Advanced Threat Protection product, which is expected to be available next year, also takes security far beyond traditional AntiVirus.  SEP can interact with this to help admins see the bigger picture.  Defintiely something to look forward to!
