  • 1.  Symantec client installation taking long time to load

    Before we updated to 12.1.3 the client installations took no time at all to install. Now that we have updated, it seems to take a good 4-5 minutes to even tell it's doing anything. Has anyone experienced this problem?

    Certainly not normal.

    Are you pushing the install from the SEPM, SCCM, or some other method or are you running the install locally?

    What version are you upgrading from?

    _Brian, we are installing it from the network from two files I created in SEPM from the client deployment wizard.

    its updated from 12.1.2 to 12.1.3

    And is it from a server local to the site or coming across the WAN?

    Have you tried copying the install locally to the client to see if there is a difference?

    It's coming from our symantec server, & no I havn't tried copying the install locally. We have always pushed the download through the network so I wouldn't see why that would make a difference.
