    Yes. SEP 12.1 RU2 is started version to support for Window 8. Recently release version is SEP 12.1 RU3 it is also supported to Window 8

    What is your current running version?

    Symantec Version is 12.1.1101.

    i open the file connect client_en.exe is also there, can i install it on my window 8 laptop?

    Yes you can download the client setup and instyall it on Windows8 systems.

    Yes, it will be work on your Window 8 system but it will be an unmanage package.

    You can download the Server Package and  upgrade your SEP Server after that deploy the package on all the clients.

    i have only 2 new laptops which is preinstalled with window8.

    it will be using for touring purpose. so i will be prepare it with unmanage setting.

    so i am not upgrade the server only for these 2 systems. i will be plan it later.

    So, You can only installed the download package on both of the Clients. No other change require because it already unmanage package.

    None of the SEP 11.x version is supported with Windows 8.  
     
    Latest version by Symantec for SEP 11.x version is SEP 11 RU7 MP3.

    System requirements: 11.0.7 Release Update 7, Under Supported operating system Windows 2012 server is not listed.

    Symantec started supporting Windows 2012 with SEP 12.1 RU2 version. You can upgrade from SEP 11.x to SEP 12.1 is using SEP 11.x version
