    i uninstall it and reinstall the same version again
    when i check the computers' list there were all there but when i tried to connect to them the connection couldn't be established and no update occured .
    i uninstall symantec on one computer and reinstall it it worked fine.

    what may cause this to happen and how can i solve this issue without reinstall symantec on all the other computers?

    Do you have any backup of database,server.xml and kestore.jks files?

    Hi there,

    You don't need to reinstall the clients, all what you need is the Sylink Replacer Tool.

    This Tool will replace the sylink.xml with a working one and the client will popup again as Online.

    You can download the SylinkReplacer tool from the link below, and you can run it on any machine

    within your LAN, before running it make sure you have locate the correct sylink.xml from your

    SEP Manager:
    (C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\agent) and take

    from there one of the subfolders Sylink.xml sheet.

    https://fileshare.symantec.com

    LoginID=      sylinkreplacer
    Password=  Syl1nk0!

    Good Luck :)

    Which version of Symantec you are using...?

      If its SAV 10.. Copy the PKI folder in the client(Available under program files\symantec) to the server(Program files\SAV) this will establish communication between client and server

    If its SEP then you should have the copy of server.xml(under \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\conf), keystore.jks(\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc) and back of the database...
