Symantec Desktop Encryption Doesn't Show Up an External HDD in "Encrypt Disk" Window

I am testing Symantec Desktop Encryption to be used for a project with a large amount of data. When I try to encrypt an external HDD (Seagate Backup Plus Desktop Drive, 3 Tera Bite), the software doesn't show the drive in the "Select Disk or Partition to Encrypt" window. I have tried moving all data out of the drive, repartitioning the drive, creating primary/logical partitions with various sizes, formatting with a newer version of NTFS, but all failed. I also checked any security issues with Drive Permissions by right click on the drive name-> properties-> Security Tab, however, all permissions are set to "Allow".

The software works very well with other external HDD (500GB, 1TB, and 2TB) that I have tested so far.

Any help will be much appreciated.

For those who may be interested in the answer, I have found the reason myself! I am using Advanced Format hard drive with 4096 bytes per sector, and Symantec Desktop Encryption does not recognise this format. It only works with legacy sector size of 512 or 512e (512 emulation) for 4k native sectors. I am not sure why they haven't considered this new advanced technology which is increasingly used in high capacity hard drives.
