    Hi all

I have issue with Symantec DLP agent in 12.5 version. When I am trying to upload file using IE (9.x) or FF (38.x) the times nedded to do so are horbily long. It takes about 1 miunte to upload file to external or internal server sometimes more.

I try using default agent configuration provided by Symantec and have same sitution maybe someone have the same issue ?

BTW I've looked into advanced agent settings and found option called HTTP_DETECTION_TIMEOUT which is set to 120 by default and when I changed it to i.e 1 sec all times needed to upload files drops to 1 sec or max 2 sec.

I was looking for some description of such option but only thing I have found is that it's something related to HTTPS and HTTP protocol and agent scanning thats all :/

Please help a little becouse I have no idea what's wrong with my envrioment.

How large is the file?  Also what type of file is it?

DLP has to inspect the entire file before it is uploaded to the site.  Also what type of policies are you using?  IDM? EDM? DCM? these can effect the speed as well

Yes know that type of polices can effect agent detection speed etc. I am using all kind of polices but I tried to disable them one by one just to check it. Seems that it dosen't metter what kind of policy is enabled becouse in every case times needed for file uploading are extremaly high.

I am trying to upload sample xls file with dummy conntent and some restricted keyword like confidential etc. I just every case I have to wait a long time before file is uploaded and after I change value of HTTP_DETECTION_TIMEOUT in advanced agent settings all times needed for file uploading drops.
