Hi Zahid.Haseeb,

Zahid,
I have read other posts that state you are running 5.0, The solution guides are diffrent for diffrent versions. Use this guide if you are using 5.0
http://sfdoccentral.symantec.com/sf/5.0/windows/pdf/SFW_HA_DR_Exch_Solutions.pdf
As for help with installing the guide should get you through it. If there is a particular area where you are stuck or a wizard is failing we could assist that way.
Generally you do the following. Setup SFW-HA, Configure the cluster, Setup vvr using the DR wizard, install exchange with dr switch(run the exchange server setup wizard and install exchange when it tells you to), do the same on additional nodes, run the dr wizard again to setup the service group, then run it a third time to setup replication and GCO.
It would be best to just follow the guide and specify where you have having an issue.

Thanks David. I will go through in it and will get back to you if face problem.
Thanks again David

Yes, using GCO is basically linking 2 seperate clusters.
Hi David
As you said
""""Generally you do the following. Setup SFW-HA, Configure the cluster, Setup vvr using the DR wizard, install exchange with dr switch(run the exchange server setup wizard and install exchange when it tells you to), do the same on additional nodes, run the dr wizard again to setup the service group, then run it a third time to setup replication and GCO.""""
I created Cluster of 2 nodes at secondary side.then ran the VVR security security wizard from primary site as the below picture shows. After that i ran the """"Configure a Disaster Recovery"""" wizard successfully.
Between the """"Configure a Disaster Recovery"""" wizard i have to finish and install the exchange on secondary site. before installing exchange i have to rename the Exchange node to the virtual name via """"Exchange Server setup wizard"""" so that i can install exchange on secondary site with the disasterrecovery switch.....But here i am facing the below problem while renaming the node to virtual name via """"Exchange Server setup wizard"""" wizard.

Something doesnt look right in that screen shot, Are you choosing "Create a failover node for Exchange disaster recovery setup"?
What happens when you click OK on that message?
When i click on OK I am getting a message like below, and when i click on view log i faced the error which i mentioned above
Yes i am choosing the 3rd option """Create a failover node for Exchange disaster recovery setup""", There is also a 2nd option which is disabled and the 1st option is like """"create a new virtual server of exchange""""

THE BELOW LOGS SHOWING ME THAT NODE1 AND NODE2 IS NOT PRESENT....OFFCOURCE THEY BOTH WILL NOT BE PRESENT BECAUSE THEY BOTH ARE THE PART OF PRIMARY SITE CLUSTER(NODE1 AND NODE2). WHEN I FORMED THE SECONDARY SITE CLUSTER I JUST ADD THE NODES WHICH ARE FOR SECONDARY SITE( NODE3 AND NODE4)

Zahid,
Could you post a screen shot of the Service groups In VCS on the primary site and then another from the secondary site.
At this point it may be best to open a case to further investigate this in a webex. What is sounds like to me is that you do not have 2 seperate clusters, the wizard is saying not to do what you are doing and to use the add additional nodes option to add the nodes to the SG.
Thanks,
David V
i have two clusters. node1 and node2 is from cluster1 and node3 and node4 is from another cluster and with even different cluster ID's both have....
one more thing , i can successfully switch over local cluster from node1 to node2......
What i have come to know that cluster2 which is secondary side cluster have 2nodes which are node3 and node4 are not able to find the primary side nodes thats why i am facing the above error...

After consultation with symantec my problem is resolved.
On nodes NODE3 and NODE4.
Delete the following registry key
hklm\software\veritas\vcs\exchconfig
On nodes NODE1 and NODE2
Delete the following registry keys
hklm\software\veritas\vcs\exchconfig\evs\evsmail\systems\NODE3
hklm\software\veritas\vcs\exchconfig\evs\evsmail\systems\NODE4
Actually when i was going to install the Exchange Server on Node3 and 4 which was the expected nodes of Secondary Site/DR Site but faced the above mentioned error. So what was happening actually the registry was exist of the past Exchange which i installed in past on the machines but i also removed but the registry was not deleted of the past exchange from the registery. So i removed the above registery entries and my problem resolved.
Thanks all who contributed with me to help
