A few of my clients are running a in-house developed application that sends out emails.  On some of the clients, seemingly at random, these emails are being blocked by SEP 11 with the following message:

Your email message to ____ with the subject of ________ was unable to be sent because the connection to y our mail server was interrupted.  Please open your email client and resend the message from the Sent messages folder.

    1003,9

I don't want to turn off the Outlook checks completely.  Is there another way to authorize this app to send emails without them getting blocked?

    Hello,

Does this Application use the Port 25 to send emails? Would it be possible for you to change the port for this application?

    OR

Possible if you could go for a certificate which can be inserted within email which can ensure that the email is secure? Like Digital Id's

    OR

Install Email Security Software like Symantec Mail security for Exchange which should assist you.

    Hope that helps!!

    No help there...

This document refers to emails coming from a potential undetected threat on the computer.  In this case, I know exactly where the emails are coming from, and the Symantec proxy is blocking them.  I don't want them blocked because these are from a known source and is expected behavior.  However, I also don't want to leave these systems unprotected from other potential undetected threats by simply turning off the email scanning (although that is beginning to look like my only viable option).

Are you running the latest version of SEP 11.0.7?  Or are you using an older version?
