I know this is a topic that has been coverd on the forum's for an extended period of time.  I wanted to share the issue that we are having.  We have Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 running on Windows 2008 Standard server, which then supplies antivirus protection to 3 Windows XP machines.  They use hosted exchange through a 3rd party and have their email deliverd to Outlook 2010 on their machines.  One indiviudal is not able to receive mail from someone at their sister company and they only receive the following message:

We have disabled the Outlook and Internet Email Auto-Protect on the client's station but we are met with the same results.  If anyone has any other suggestions or a possible resolution it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a re-install on the client?

Do you have a screenshot of this message?

    Hello,

Here's a link to the official corresponding Symantec article: Many Unexpected Pop-Ups from Symantec Email Proxy are Displayed

    and check this Threads:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sym...

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ema...

That Email Proxy only examines messages for threats (worms, viruses, etc).  It does not scan for spam: there are other products which provide that protection (Symantec Mail Security for MS Exchange). As far as I am aware it wouldn't be responsible for sending mails like the ones you have added to this forum thread.

All the same, I recommend that, as a best practice, steps are made to ensure that all clients are runnig the latest releases of SEP or SAV, have up-to-date definitions, and all MS patches are applied.

    Hope this helps!

I did not try a reinstall of the client.  There really is no screenshot, the original email is replaced with the below email.
