Hello,

I have serious issue , When I try to backup database manually suddenly appear notification "could not connect to the database. cannot back up the site." . 

 

my friend said that yesterday he tried to changing the target path for backup file using this way http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH103675 and when loading process is running deliberately he stop this process using task manager because there is important purpose other . Next, I try to Re-changing the target path as before but appear this notif :

 

Symantec Embedded Database in Services also suddenly disappeared and SEPM status always stopped .

Please give me best solution , because SEP my client (1800+ pc)  cannot update definition ..
I Using SEP 11.x

Did you try to restart database service or restart SEPM server ?

did you re-run the management configuration wizard after changing the path?

can you try repair of the SEPM.

DB services are created only after running Management server configruation wizard, after changing the backup path , you need to run the server configruaton wizard only the service will be visible.

You run repair as the second half of the repair is to configure DB that should bring back the service.

1) Restart database services
    - Symantec Embedded Database cannot be found/Dissapear
2) Restart SEPM Server 
    -I've done it
