  • 1.  Symantec Encryption Management Server, Adding a user

    Posted May 05, 2014 10:32 AM

    Hello Community,

I just started using SEMS and want to basically add users. I have our Active Directory synchronized but when I download the client to my Windows 7 Professional 64-it and log in with a AD user, this user does not get added to the SEMS(even though I now have my drive encrypted and the system is protected at boot up).

Symptom: When I try to create a new PGP_key I get the error connection not available (image attached)

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello,

    On the server side...

I am assuming you have already enabled AD enrollment from Directory settings, if not please enable the setting Enroll using directory synch option under directory synchronization settings.

    On the client Side....

While the package download please make sure you select the customize option before downloading the package from SEMS,

Check the below registry stamp and make sure that package already installed is managed by same universal server. Once confirmed please perform a re-enrollment with server once again.

    To check PGP STAMP registry

    32-bit systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PGP Corporation\PGP
    64-bit systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\PGP Corporation\PGP

    PGPSTAMP value
