Hi,
My company had setup a schedule scan that runs every Monday @ 20:00 hrs. I normally keep my machine on so that scan should get complete before I come back to office the next day. Normally this scan takes around three (3) hrs time to complete the full scan. However, for last two weeks I see some irregularities. The scan does not get complete even though it is running for almost 24 hrs. When I shutdown my machine, the scan stops and do not re-scan. But again, on Monday it starts scanning and scans until the laptop is shutdown i.e. approx. 20 hrs.
This problem started just couple of weeks back.
I had uninstalled Symantec and re-installed but no difference.
What could be the reason? Is it related to Microsoft update or Anti-virus definition file update?

My Symantec endpoint protection version is 11.0
OS: Windows XP SP3
Laptop: DELL E5400
Memory: 4 GB
HDD: 160 GB
Extermal HDD: 250 GB
