What is the current running version of SEPM in your network?
If you are first time using then you can go with SEPM 12.1 RU2 MP1.
For the 12.1 RU2 MP1 you need to install first 12.1 RU2 after that upgrade with maintainance pack
For 12.1 RU2 go with below
After that
Upgrading or migrating to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.2100 (RU2 MP1)
If you only install the SEP on single Client then download the client package from File connect and installed on the client system

SEP 12.1 RU2 is the earliest supported build that is compatable with Windows 8 and Server 2012. Currently latest release of SEP is 12.1 RU2 MP1.
SEPM 12.1 RU2 is compaitable for server 2012. You can download it from fileconnect.
12.1 RU2 MP1 is Maintenance Patch, so you can upgrade it after installation of SEPM 12.1 RU2 .
