Symantec Endpoint 11 liveupdate error
Aloha,
I keep getting an error when I try to run live update for Symantec Endpoint 11. Can someone help me? I am going nutty on trying to find a solution on this :) I have the error listed below.
6/30/2009, 23:12:27 GMT -> EVENT - PRODUCT UPDATE FAILED EVENT - Update available for Symantec Shared Components - 6.1.0 - SymAllLanguages. Update for COHUpdate takes product from update 70808001 to 80820001. The Update executed with a result code of 1825, => The install script for this product had a syntax error, so LiveUpdate could not install it.
Thanks so much :)

Can you give us a background of your network? Do you use a proxy?
RE

Re
What does the GUI says? that it is not updated? can you ping liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com?
First you need to endsure
First you need to endsure you install the management console deployment wizard and the Live update administrator. Then add the packages in the live update administrator, (sysmantec endpoint 11, network treat protection and Live update). If you are connecting to the internet through a proxy server you will have to add the server address and port. Configure the Distribution centre coverage, download centre coverage and distribution schedule coverage for download and automatic scheduling. Go to the management console and configure the live update to take from the management server. The updates are very big so after you set it up you may have to leave it over night update are some where about 400mb - 680mb.

Aloha Ajitjha,
Thanks for info ;) I have uninstalled SEP and LiveUpdate through the Control Panel and rebooted the system. I am not sure as to how to re-install LiveUpdate back on the system now ;) I do have the install CD in the system.
Thanks,
