    Greetings.

    I have just taken over IT duties on a network here that uses Symantec Endpoint 11.

    I was going through the management interface and wanted to configure some reports to be generated weekly. There was no reporting being done previously.

    What would be a couple of the more common reports to be generated and emailed on a daily basis?

    I have not used Endpoint previously, but would like some short reporting on the more important items.

    Thanks.

    You can set Mail notifications.

    Monitors > Notifications > Notification Conditions

    Add the notification "Virus definitions out-of-date"

    And here's how it's set up for workstations:

    Or

    Reports -> Scheduled Reports ->ADD ->Conditions

    I would recommend you to check all type of reports to see their content and determine whether they match your needs (in Reports > Quick Reports).

    Once you have identified reports required, configure them in Scheduled Report tab, so that you will receive them on a regular basis (and not only on-demand like in Quick Report tab).

    If you rather want to have alerts sent via email when a specific action occur (threshold of out-of-date clients exceeded, new infection detected, etc.), refer to notifications (http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH105865).
