Hello!

I recently upgraded my clients from 11.0.6300.803 to 11.0.7300.1294. My upgrade went without problems. But i got strage problem with SEP cliet tray icon.
The thing is, that i use custome windows 7 x64 shell. On it client never showed until i launched program, for example windows explorer.
On old client version whenever i launched it icon showed up. On new version this only occures if i launch some process right after reboot.
If i dont do anything for like 5 minutes client icon just stop showing no matter what i do.
The question is what has changed in builds, if i downgrade client package to old one i have no problems.
And also, from what i can tell if there is no tray icon my antivirus works. Just if i launch SymCorpUi from its folder it sometimes dont show Network Protection..

What i can do to fix the issue?

Also, i must add that i can take as solution just a way to have icon on my taskbar right after reboot. If there any way to force it to start?

Please check your client or server version is same or not. if version is same then please share error snap, So we can findout the issue.

My client-server versions are same 11.0.7300.1294 version. How to get error snap?

Use the print screen fucntion on your keyboard and copy into paint. Than save as a jpg and upload so we can see it

I know how to make a screenshot, just dont understand what to send. Troubleshooting section of client? Or something from Server? Not sure.

Judging by your problem, this may require a call to support so they can remote in and look at exactly what is going on.

if you do a normal mstsc /console, is the client visible?

You mean connect to affected computer via RDP?

If client in affected state, when there is no icon Troubleshooting accesible via SymCorpUI shows Server  - Offline. But on manager console it shows online, responds to console commands like workstation restart etc.

If i launch Troubleshooting right after restart it shows connection to management server, without errors.

If i downgrade to 11.0.6300.803, everything comes back to normal. Maybe i just shouldnt upgrade? Is there a point to do that in first case?

Yes, try the normal mstc/ console session , check if the icon is visible...

I suspect your shell ..lets verify it first.

Yes! on mstsc /console session icon is visible O.O

And after i disconnect session, it became visible on actual PC too.

So...? O.O

The icon is dependent on explorer.exe , your shell hook might have been making some issues with that.

Yes, it seems all functions work good, and on MSTC icon is there...

so i can just ignore icon?

Yes, its some issue with that shell you are using.
