SYmantec Endpoint 12.1 for Windows 7

Hello

Any 1 know what the correct verion what I need to install in Windows 7?

I read about a Release Update RU2, Is available? If not, When will be?

Any Workaround for install on Windows 7? I read about install only the AV module worked perfect. Is that correct?

Hello,

In case you want to install SEP on Windows 7 , then make sure you have any version above SEP 11.0.6005 OR SEP 12.1 and above. Check this -

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 RU2 would be released soon. However, no official date has been released as of now.

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 RU2 is still under BETA testing.

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 RU2 supports Windows 8.

Incase, you are facing issue installing SEP on Windows 7, then work on the steps below:

1) Make sure you are installing any version above SEP 11.0.6005 OR SEP 12.1 and above.

2) Upload us the SEP_Inst.log from the %temp% which would assist us understanding the root cause of the issue.

There is no official date for the release. You may see the Release of SEP 12.1 RU2 happening anytime this year.

As of now, the SEP 12.1 RU2 is under BETA testing.
