  • 1.  Symantec Endpoint 12.1.6 and Win 10

    Hello to all.
    we have a symantec management servers and 100 clients connected.
    I'm upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 computers
    computers with windows 7 upgraded to Windows 10 everything is ok.new computers with Windows 10, do not install symantec.
    is there any component to be added?

    sorry for my english, i'm italian i'm non speech very well

    It may be a known issue due to an MS KB patch, see here:

    Also make sure windows defender is disabled

    Thanks for pointing this out Brian.  This morning I attempted to push a SEP new 12.1.6 install to a fully updated Win 10 machine.The install kept failing per the Window's application log.

    I then created an install package and tried that.  The install would start and shortly into the install it would just hang at 0%.

    This type of incident has been my biggest fear as Microsoft continually makes changes to Win 10.  When i get a chance later today I will try the workaround in the KB article.

    This information should be pinned at the top of the forums as many will start hitting this bug.
