Is Symantec Endpoint Encryption Full Disk supported in Windows 8?

Created: 25 Oct 2012 • Updated: 09 Feb 2013 | 2 comments
This issue has been solved. See solution.

As a company we are testing programs under windows 8 prior to release.

I searched Symantec but did not find any reference to if SEE Full disk Encryption works in Windows 8. Prefer to have a document from Symantec which would save time testing.

If not supported in Windows 8 is there any published timeline on adding?

FYI I tried running SEE on Windows 8 RTM and had several rebuilds that I eventually decided were down to SEE. Stopped running that and been stable ever since! I don't know if it was originally causing the issues I was having but it definately stopped any recovery/fixing options!
