I have a scheduled scan set via SEPM to all of my clients that is supposed to run daily at 11 p.m. My problem is by the time 11 p.m. gets here, all of the computers are in sleep mode. My users leave different times between 4 - 7 and that's why I have the scan scheduled for later in the evening. Is there any way that the scan can wake up the computer when it is in sleep mode and not go back to sleep until after the scan finishes?
This is not a possibility to do with SEP. There is only an option to retry the scan with 'x' days if a scan is missed at the scheduled time.
You'd need to use Wake on LAN to get them up then have the scan run.
Wake on Lan feature is not been implemented in SEPM
One of the user has raised the idea for implement and symantec has provided the alternate solution

Hi,
Nope there is no such option in SEP where scheduled scan can wake up a pc which is in sleep mode to complete the scan.
You could rather change the time... and set the retry interval as 1 day.
