    Hello,

The first question: What happens when I use more seats than licenses?

Answer: When you use more seats than the Licenses, than the Symantec Protection Console would show as "License Over Deployed". Again, if I am not mistaken, there is a limit to the OverDeployment.

Home Pages shows "License Over Deployed" in Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition's Symantec Protection Center

The second question is: Why cannot see all my computers in my domain when I run the Deployment Wizard? I can only see a few...

Answer:  This could be because of Windows Firewall. Make sure you have the Windows Firewall stopped and disabled OR create an Exception.

If you do not need to deploy Symantec Endpoint Protection to the computer using the Migration and Deployment Wizard, no action is needed.

If you need to deploy Symantec Endpoint Protection to the computer, or will need to do so at a later time, use one of the following methods to allow traffic on the deployment ports:

    • Disable the Windows Firewall.
    • Create an exception in Windows Firewall for Windows File Sharing.
Creating an exception for Windows File Sharing opens port 445.
    • Open port 139, port 445, or both in Windows File Sharing manually.
