    Hi,

My goal is to trigger a SEP notification message which includes a URL link to an internal web page whenever a user sticks a USB storage device on his/her computer. Is that possible in Application and Device Control Policies?

Another goal is to trigger another notification message or alternatively run a script that will open up an internal web page whenever a user clicks a web link.

What I would like to happen is that when someone inserts a USB drive into his/her computer, or when a user clicks one of the links that we will set up to appear as a spam message, SEP will show up a notification message reminding the user about the possible risks of his/her actions, at the same time this message will include a hyperlink to web page that we will setup where there will be contents e.g. video or other training materials related to malware prevention, or maybe just automatically run a script that will open up a webpage where we will setup these contents.

I hope, I have conveyed clearly what I'm trying to attain here, and I hope someone has an answer.

    thanks in advance.

Not possible in SEPM. You can enable alerts for events in an ADC policy, like if something is blocked, which you could include the link to go to a site.

But this is beyond the scope of SEPM.

you can have the app/ device control policy to block USB and create a notification pop up.

You can then embedded your URL in the notification .

Ok..not sure if I missed anything doing that notification but how do you embedd the URL in a way to make it a live link/clickable? As I saw it, you can't even highlight to select the text in the notification message.

It won't be live, only visible. You would need to type in the link into the browser manually.

Yup. You can just mention the link in the pop up. I'm sorry for the confusion

    Hello,

This is not possible with Application and Device Control Policy.
