Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 Small Business Edition Windows XP will not install

I receive an error when trying to install the unmanaged client attached is the DEP_INST.log file:

The wizard was inturrupted before Symantec ndpoint Protection Small Business Edition Could be completely installed

Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, Please run setup again.

 

I've been looking through many of the posts and it seems that this problem can have many differnt causes and solutions. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Getting a bunch of these errors:

ScriptGen: ShowServiceProgress_RB() reset script failure event.
ScriptGen: ShowServiceProgress_RB() script execution failed.
ScriptGen: ShowServiceProgress_RB() reset script failure event.
ScriptGen: ShowServiceProgress_RB() script execution failed.

Yes, there could be numerous reasons.

Are you running locally or trying to push remotely?

Was there a previous version of SEP or some other AV software on it?

Have you tried running Cleanwipe?

Running locally from a CD-ROM

I'm not sure what was installed previously, current there is no anti-virus installed

I didn't try running cleanwipe yet, I did however remove folders and files from Program Files, Common Files and User folders, prior to the attempt posted

Hi,

You should use cleanwipe tool to clear all the legacy entries. By looking at logs it seems previous version entries are present.

You need to contact support to receive credentials to download cleanwipe latest version. Create a web case and request for the same.

Just as an update, you are trying to install SEP 12.1 RU1 version.

Latest version is SEP 12.1 RU2 (12.1.2015.2015).
