Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

Hi Guys,

I am encountering a problem regarding installation of SEP 12.1.x. I do believe that there are many people that are already posted issues issues like this. It seems that the solution that some posted here doesnt work in my case.

Below are some of the steps that I already done.

1. Execute clean wipe 
2. Install SEP 12.1 - Same problem still roll back.
3. Update root certificate.
4. Gather logs.

What's the exact version you're trying to install?

Is there a SEP_INST.log file in %temp% directory as well? If so post it here please.

from the log [StartService] StartService() failed for service 'ccSettings_{5C0EB4CF-2D9D-4DB4-ACDE-84DF12F4ED0D}' with error 0x0000001F

0001F means device attached to the system is not functioning.. had any non symnatec AV on this machine?

Does it install if you install any previous or higher than your current SEP version?

if its on windows 8 ,check the windows defender service

the exact version isSymantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.4.

The OS is windows XP SP2

We'll give it a try on this, I do believe that there is no previously installed AV aside from SEP 11.0
