    Iam facing one problem

    I have deployed client package from Symantec end point protection Manager console to windows server 2003 client.
    It is installed but unable to get the updates from parent server. In the client machine showing server offline.

    When checked the applicaton event log in client machine below error is occuring.

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: SescLU
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 13
    Date: 21/04/2009
    Time: 08:18:51
    User: N/A
    Computer: XXXX
    Description: LiveUpdate returned a non-critical error. Available content updates may have failed to install.

    kindly help me in this.

    have you checked your system time? check if it is automatically synchronised with the internet time server, also disable the windows time from the services, and then try to deploy the client again and post back the results...

    Re install the LUSetup in the client machine once more.

    Download and reinstall the Live Update. It will solve your problem.

    sylink.xml  file is a communication file u just copy the file from server and paste the client machine. whenever u paste at first u should run a command  smc -stop  and paste is complete then u smc -start.

    Yes, I agree with Kajal. Before uninstalling Live Update please import the sylink.xml file to the client from the antivirus server.

    I have done that already. but problem remain same. reinstallation may solve the problem.

    kajal suggested you the right solution and the SescLU error is still in RnD period with Symantec. Today i was having a chat with Symantec for the same they said they are still working upon it.
