Symantec Endpoint Protection blocking Ghost Solutions Suite...

    Hello there,

We are using Ghost Solutions Suite 1.1 and Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 on a private network.  (I know, not the latest versions of either, but we work with what we have approved and purchased).  We can remotely image a machine using GSS with NAV products installed (previously used with SAV 10.1.9 with no problems)... but after we upgraded to SEP 11 we started having problems with GSS imaging the machines.

When we attempt to send a ghost image, the client machine will reboot and then start with the PC-DOS script... but then will fail with the following error:
"Network initialization failed.  The DOS-Mode client cannot proceed.  Unable to obtain IP address via DHCP".

After some trial and error, we discovered it was absolutely being caused by SEP - when we uninstall it, the GSS works as normal, when we reinstall SEP, the error comes back.  I have gone into the firewall and host intrusion policy settings and even added an exception that everything from the GSS server should be allowed... but still no joy.

What would be the way that I can make this work so I don't have to manually uninstall SEP just to reghost a machine each time?

    Thanks,
    Matt
PS. Please excuse me if this isn't the right forum to post into... I didn't see anything directly for SEP which appears to be where our problem is...
