  • 1.  Symantec endpoint protection full scan completes in 2 seconds.

    I am running Symantec endpoint protection v 11.0.4 on Windows 7 home edition OS. Two seconds after I start any scan, I get the message that the scan has been completed, yet no files were scanned. Is this a virus or just a bug? How do I fix it?

    Version 11.0.4 is not compatible with Windows 7. Please upgrade to RU 5 or newer.

    RU6 MP1 is the latest version available.

    Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager now supports the following operating systems:

      • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (all editions except for Itanium)
      • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (all editions except for Itanium)


    Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager can now be used with Microsoft SQL Server 2008.

    The Symantec Endpoint Protection or Symantec Network Access Control client now supports:

      • Microsoft Windows 7 (all editions except for Itanium)
      • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (all editions except for Itanium)
      • Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 2
