    Hi Guys,

I'm having a problem with SEPP Manager.

I log into the manger with my username and password.  It accepts the username and password ans say "Loading".  It then jumps back to the login, no error, nothing.  I have also checked the event log, and nothing either.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

You can try to login to the manager using IP address of the server or the hostname instead of localhost in server field.

If still the issue is not resolved try to run management server configuration wizard.

    Nirav MIstry.

    Hi Nirav,

Thanks for the reply, unft this does not resolve the issue, I have tried the IP and the hostname.

I have also done a complete un-install and re-install, and this does not resolve the issue.

What's strage is that the client was working perfectly, until two weeks ago, just suddenly I could not log into the Manager.

I'm running on Windowx XP Pro SP3.

I use to run this on an old machine, also with XP Pro SP3 and it never gave me any issues.

What i've realised now, whilts typing this, if you log in and wait for it to say "loading", and you quickly click on one of the Icons on the left, it actually opens the screen, just for two secons or so.  Then it jumps back to the Login Screen.

    Thanks

    Quinton

Try reinstalling IIS, following this procedure

) uninstall IIS (safe or normal mode)
    > b) Remove files and folders
    > %windir%/system32/inetsvr/
    > /inetpub/
    > %windir%/iisx.log (x=5 for w2k, 6 for XP, Win03)
    > (use safe mode to delete)
    > c) reboot, reinstall IIS, repatch machines

Repair the SEPM now , try loggin in,

are u loggin in remote or local?

Attempted login to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager reverts to login screen or displays 403 Forbidden errors

    Hi,

This could be an issue due to multiple versions of PHP installed on the SEPM server. In this case we have to specify the correct version of PHP for SEPM.

Please follow the document mentioned below to resolve this,

    http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/04bee96905e871ca8825745c006f5575?OpenDocument

Let me know if this helps :-)

Unless it is a very small office, I really recommend that the SEPM be installed on a server Operating System (Windows 2003 server, for example).  Windows XP was designed to be used just as a desktop OS, not for a lot of server processing or traffic.

This article may help: Best practices guide for installing the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) on a Windows XP operating system.

    Thanks and best regards,
