    Setup as follows:
    Windows Small Business Server 2003 with Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, 12 client machines.
    I just purchased Symantec EPM as soon as I install it on the server and reboot it causes the Exchange information store service to stop and it can’t restart. Event ID 9564 Source MSExchangeIS
    If I remove Symantec EPM from the server and reboot it starts fine.
    I did try excluding the Exchange database files from the scan and this did not help.
    I recommended this product above others to my client so if I don’t get it working it is on my head.
    Anyone got any ideas?

    Have you installed SEPM on  a custom website or default website in IIS manager?

    You mentioned that you tried to exclude the exchange database files from scanning, so you must have installed a SEP client on the server.

    Which components of SEP are installed on the server? And the exchange database files are automatically excluded from scanning in SEP clients:

    I installed SEPM in the default website I am now trying it in a custom website I am also going to leave SEP off the server and see how it goes. I will report back soon.
