If SEPM 12.1.2 doesn't support IE 11, then what version of IE would best suit for SEPM 12.1?

I'd rather change my IE version than upgrading SEPM version.

Roll back to IE 10

Hi All, pardon me for the mistake. I am actually using IE 10 version. Not 11. Sorry for the confussion. crying

Now, if it's SEPM 12.1.2 and IE 10, why does my Web access console still not working?

Do you have enhanced security enabled? Did you add the SEPM URL to the trusted zone?

I already turned off IE Enhanved Security Configuration and added SEPM URL to the trusted zone but Web Access still not accessible.

Please uninstalled IE11 to use SEPM. as IE11 not supported with SEPM 12.1.2.

Either please upgrade your SEPM with latest version to use IE11

Note: Clients from version 11.0.6 (11.0 RU6) and earlier do not support Firefox 3.6.3.

**  For Mac On-Demand Client : Apple Safari 4.0 and 5.0; Mozilla  Firefox 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 3.6.3

You can still get IE to work with the web console. Have you tried turning off enhanced security for the IE browser and adding the URL to the trsuted zone?

Try to add the WEB URL of your SEPM in your IE Compatibilty settings, so you don't need to uninstall your IE. To Add the SEPM url, go to IE>Settings>Compatibility View Settings>Type the SEPM URL, then click ADD>Click Close to finish>then reopen your IE..

JM

Have you try to lowered the level of security and privacy settings of your IE??

Does are you able open in SEPM locally ?

Try this

Adjust the Java heap space assigned to the SEPM service and consoles.

  1. Stop the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service.
    • Set the following two registry values:
    • HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\semsrv\Parameters\
      JVM Option Number 0=-Xms1024m
      JVM Option Number 1=-Xmx1024m
      JVM Option Number 2=-XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=40
      JVM Option Number 3=-XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=70
    •

    •
    • Start the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service.
    •
  2. JVM Options 0 and 1 are the Java minimum and maximum heap sizes for the SEPM. You cannot increase either of these beyond 1024m; if you do, the SEPM service will not start and you cannot login until the value is set back down. This is an inherent limitation of the Java Virtual Machine. For more details on these values, see "Technical Information" below.
  3.

  4.
  5. Adjust same settings for the local SEPM console; edit the following batch file to reflect the registry values above:
    • %ProgramFiles%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin\sesm.bat
    •
  6. To effect the same changes for the SEPM remote Java console, follow the instructions below:
    • Go go http://sepm-server-name:9090
    • Right-click on the link "Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager... Download & Login" and choose to "Save Target As..." (you may have to download and install Java before you see this link).
    • Save the .jnlp file to your desktop, and open with a text editor
    • Change the initial-heap-size, max-heap-size, MinHeapFreeRatio, and MaxHeapFreeRatio to match the registry changes above.
    • Save your changes, and use the .jnlp file when launching the SEPM remote Java Console.

Note: The additional RAM will be allocated immediately following the service restart. You may see an immediate (but temporary) rise in disk and cpu activity as the page file size is increased. The max size varies from about 1200MB to 1400MB depending on OS and the state of the machine
