I have Symantec Endpoint Protection Installed on a Windows Server 2003 machine, this has VPN links to two other offices with Windows Server 2003 machines. I am trying to replicate Symantec Endpoint Protection to these machines.

I have installed the software at the other sites and started the replication wizard, but it is still going and I started it a few days ago. I know it is doing something because the out.log file is updated every 10 minutes.

Does anyone have any experience of setting this up or any idea how long the process will take?

what link speeds do you have ?

I replicated from UK to US on a 2mb dedicated line and it took 24hrs to completely replicated the database. Uk database is SQL & US database is Embedded. If I tried SQL to SQL it would fail.

Also, what version of SEP are you using. I first tried with MR2 MP! & MP2 & it failed , I had to wait till MR3 before it worked correctly.

We have a 4MB broadband connection. My main SEP server has recently been upgraded to MR4 running with a sql db which is about 6GB in size. The remote offices are running MR4 trying to install to a Embedded database to overcome the problem we used to have with sql express not alowing the database to be larger than 4GB. I have left it running several days now so I would have thought it would have finished by now.
