Im having issues with getting the test email to my office 365 account, Ive gotten as far as setting up an internal SMTP relay towards my office 365 and not getting the error message of being failed but Im not actually getting the test email when testing the email server settings within the SEPM SBE 12.1.4. ANy insight to this will help tremendously Thank you

Ive even went into the firewall policies within SEPM to allow outbound traffic out of the port that the smtp server is using

And you verified the open relay is working correctly? Can you send mail thru it from a different app?

How would I go about verifying that?

    1. Open a command prompt (start>run>cmd)
    2. Type "telnet [your mail server IP] 25" - - - this will open an SMTP connection
    3. Type "helo yourdomain.com" - - - server will respond "220 mx.mydom.com SMTP"
    4. Type "mail from:" - - - server responds "250 Address Ok"
    5. Type "rcpt to:" - - - server responds "550 not local host someotherdomain.com, not a gateway"
