    Do you have enough space on your C drive? This happens a lot when the hard drive runs out of space.

    Uninsatll the client
    delete the all symantec folder from
    c:\program files\comman files\symantec shared
    reboot
    install

    is the virus definition blank on  the client  or on the SEPM?

    if on the client, follow Brian's suggestion.

    if on the SEPM it might be the data of the client may not be processed on the SEPM.

    !. Uninstall Liveupdate 3.3 from add/remove  programs
    2. Delete all the liveupdate  folders: From C:/Documents and settings/Al users/Application Data/Symantec, and from C:/program files/Symantec( If present).
    3. Re-install Liveupdate, by running LUSETUP.EXe from the  SEP folder, inside CD1/DVD
    4. Repair Symantec Endpoint  Protection from add/remove  programs.

    Problem resolved

    I have copy c:\program file\common files\symantec shared\virusdefs copy the recent dated folder to another server on same location, working fine
