Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

Hi,

I have installed EPP 11.0.6 on Windows 2008 64 bit OS.

I have tried to configure device control but it is not working.

The issue is a follows:-

1. I have enable the read only on all removable drive.

2. As the above configuration was not working on the client (Win XP 32 Bit) I tried to disable all USB and excluded the mice. but all USB is getting disabled including the Mouse and keyboard.

I have found some docs where it was mentioned that Device control do not work on 64 bit client.

But I have 64 bit Server not client.

Is there any issue with the 64 bit EPP server also for device control.

OR

I need some patch for this to work.

The Application and Device Control is not working on 64-bit machines per dafault. This will be fixed in 12.1 version which will be released this summer (no fixed date so far).

There is a beta version of 12.1 available.

So the current version (i.e. EPP 11.0.6) deployed on Windows Srv 2008 64bit as a EPP server do not have support for  Application and device control to implement on any client (32bit or 64bit).

We need to wait for next version to come.
