File Share Encryption

  • 1.  Symantec Error: The encryption feature is not supported on this disk

    Hello,

    I am getting the following error when trying to peform a disk encryption- "The encryption feature is not supported on this disk".

    It does not provide any further information and i'm not sure why i am getting this error?

    As far as i can tell i have met all the requirements specified.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    From the screenshot it looks like your drives are set in a RAID configuration, which would not be supported.  You may need to go into the BIOS and turn off RAID.  Even if not actually using them in a RAID configuration, that setting will cause them to appear that way to our product.
