    Hi there

I have a query about Symantec Gateway Email Encryption as I've never installed it before.

Can you confirm, what exactly does a network user do to encrypt an individual email? Is there a button integrated into Outlook that they press?

    Thanks

What you are describing is a completely different product. The Content Encryption add-on for Messaging Gateway allows you to create policies based on email content to decide if an email needs to be encrypted. It then sends the email through an encrypted stream to the encryption provider you choose who then delivers it to the recipient.

    Thanks for your reply TSE-JDavis...

Our customer has Exchange 2010 (SP3) running on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard (SP1). They have approx 70 PCs running various flavours of Outlook as an email client.

They would like to be able to send encrypted emails by clicking a button (or similar procedure). Is there a Symantec product that you could recommend to do this?

    Thanks

Check out Symantec PGP for this. It does exactly what you need.
