Symantec Gateway Security:Connected VPN Client is unable to reach internal shared resources

**Not sure if this is the right group for this.. but here goes:
Finally we connect the symantec vpn client to our Symantec gateway Security 460, and we can see the network computers, but we can`t access yet the network shared resources of each one.
The user and computer (from we try to connect)have sufficient network access privileges....that operate well when this machine is connected by the lan.But not when it is connected by VPN.
When Vpn Client is connected, the ping to the Symantec Gateway Security internal ip is not respond.(although in the ipconfig this IP address appears as the dns server)
Server: (with shared resources) Windows 2003 Server (as PDC, II DNS Server , Wins server)
Client: XP Pro SP2
Symantec VPN Client 22.214.171.1240
Symantec gateway Security 460 Firmware 1336 Setup as Primary DNS, DHCP Server.
We need a Symantec Gateway Security specialist help...
