Hello, We just ordered and received 20 systems with the above motherboards and cannot find anyway to get the Atheros NICs to work with the enterprise. We have downloaded the newest drivers directly from ASUS, checked bios settings and all seem to be correct. The only way we were able to pull an image was to install a 3com nic. Though it worked we do not want to have this an option. My boss has tried just about every setup the program has to offer. PC/MS-DOS, Linux,Mapped drive, etc will not work. It only worked with WIN-PE with an old 3com nic installed in the system.

We want to be able to pull and push an image with the NIC thats on the mobo. Anyone else have this experience? Any help would be appreciated as this is our first time dealing with this software. We used to just do disk to disk and found this would be a lot faster if we can get it to work.

    Hi,

You can configure all of preoses (apart from Linux) that come with GSS to add new drivers. You add/modify drivers thru Ghost boot wizard (GBW). Number of todays' manufactures are discontinuing to make DOS drivers so I would encourage you to try Winpe option. Preos boot speed is slower but cloning speed is faster under Winpe than under DOS so your average XP box would clone in approximately the same time. The more data to clone the more benefit you'll get with Winpe option.

To install new drivers simply start GBW, click on Winpe (default), click 'edit'. Select Winpe of your choice and click 'edit'. In this dialog you can import new drivers and then add them to Winpe. Make sure that drivers you download are for Vista or at least for XP - Winpe GSS uses is 2.0, which is Vista based. We know that some XP drivers do not work on latest hardware so you better off using Vista drivers to be sure. Drivers you import via GBW are added to central driver repository and can be used by any Winpe and Deploy Anywhere.

    Hope this helps.
