Hi,

Can you provide more specific information on what exactly you were installing - which version of the product etc?

Also, in which stage you received the error? And what is the exact error string?

And no, ApplicationHA Console does not need SQL.

Hi,

ApplicationHA consists of two components:

1 - The ApplicationHA console server

2 - ApplicationHA guest components

The ApplicationHA console server registers a plugin with vCentre and performs management and configuration of ApplicationHA guest component elements.  The ApplicationHA console does have an embedded SQLAnywhere database service that contains information and configuration data.

The ApplicationHA guest components (which perform application monitoring and recovery of guest applications) do not require embedded database components.

The ApplicationHA console components should be installed on a separate virtual machine to avoid any conflict if trying to install the ApplicationHA console on the same server as your vCentre server.
