Symantec Installation manager will not work says no internet connection

symantec Installation manager will not run an update reason(s): -Requires an internet connection for download.
tried rebooting server but thats did not fix this. i have no problem getting to web from machine. Any ideas on what to do?

Do you have a proxy set in SIM specifically?

Which is why you should check there isn't one set specifically in SIM.
Check you can put the pl xml file into a web browser.

Well i log in today and all looks good. Sorry for the trouble. although to answer the last question the server can access the internet through a proxy or straight. I tried both. it seem to be able to update the software list fine in either case.
