I have problem with failed status from LUA updates log.

I'm doing every midnight LUA updates automatically by scheduled task.

I always get Failed status.

When I checked what could be wrong from logs I see this message:

[http-7070-Processor24] INFO  com.symantec.lua.handler.download.ContentCatalogHandler  - Value of allConnectionFailed after validating - > false

I did updates request manually and I see that udates were downloaded, but when status show "saving downloaded updates" I received than status "Failed".

All updates are downloaded and I can use them in SEPM, but in the logs and Download and Activity status I allways see Failed status.

Now:

Yesterday I did full restore for LUA server from three days ago. (vmware snapshot).

Because there was old definitions I tried to download them manually from "Download & Distribute" Tab.

I got status "comleted" message!!!

Today I tried to download updates manually again and i got "Failed" status again!!!

Later versions of LiveUpdate support download resumption. If the download is resumed and the file that was initially downloaded was corrupted, then LiveUpdate will not install the file and may generate the message. To fix this, delete all files in the "...\All Users\ApplicationData\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads" folder. Do not delete the Downloads folder itself.

All files from "C:\ProgramData\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Downloads" were deleted. I'm using Windows 2008 R2 version.

I run "Manual Download Request" but same result.

Btw. My settings in the Tab  "Configure -> Preferences" are to use Temporary Directory "D:\TempDownload" with 2.25GB.

There is some "D:\Updates" folder too with 7.68 GB and "D:\LUAbackup" folder with 80MB.

Are you using LUA 2.3?  If not, I highly recommend upgrading to it ASAP.

I did update to LUA 2.3.

but then I had problems with scheduled download a distribute tasks...

they just did not want to start in scheduled time...

The download might hav failed due to corrupt definitions or too much size occupied in clu-prod folder .

hence try deleting the numbered folders in clu-prod folder and try doing a manual download post that.

location of clu-prod : C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate Administrator\clu-prod folder

I don't recommend manually making any changes to clu-prod: that will put the actual contents out of sync with what LUA's datbase believes is there.  LUA should purge unneeded fiels from clu-prod automatically.

The numbered folders in C:\TempDownloads can safely be deleted manually.

I did by your recommend... I cleaned folder "clu -prod" folder but result is same...
