Symantec Mail Security 7.0.0.63 for Exchange: after upgrade spam not blocked

This is a Windows Small Business Server 2008 running Exchange 2007. The customer had SMS 6.x for Exchange and I did an upgrade to v 7.0.0.63 last night. I checked to make sure that all the settings from v 6 were transferred over to v 7.
This morning, the customer reports users are receiving spam. The quarantine is working for prohibited attachments, etc., but lots of very obvious spam messages are getting through to the users.
I have tried restarting all the SMS services. I've placed a support call to Symantec tech support. Any ideas while I wait? (Rebooting this server during business hours is not a desireable option).

I fixed this more or less by accident; Symantec Technical support later confirmed the fix.
Disable the premium anti-spam service, then re-enable it.
